The Q-Max fabric pulls heat away on contact, and because there's no gel or water, it resets and re-cools on its own. It works best in a shaded or indoor spot, alongside your AC or a fan — like every fabric cooling mat, it's not designed to fight direct sun.
Is it safe if my dog chews it?

Unlike gel mats, there's no gel or liquid inside — nothing to leak, nothing to swallow. It's a woven cooling fabric, so a curious chewer can't puncture it into a mess or a health scare. It's also fully machine washable. (That said, no mat is a chew toy — we don't recommend leaving any dog unattended with bedding they actively destroy.)
